The importance of Industrial Training
It has been generally reported that university graduates needs a better workplace for preparation.So, what can better way to do this than let students experience doing genuine work while they are still studying?
The industry introduction increases the undergraduate’s work life through added eagerness and responsibility; gives a long lasting learning experience; is an opportunity to engage with the profession to which they aspire in a realistic work environment; appreciate and understand the practical application of their academic program; work with professional mentors and to begin to build networks within their profession
Now-a-days, having a degree is not enough for doing employment. The graduates must have good relevant knowledge, practical experience, soft skills, more dedication and focus on the work, as this positive attitude will allow them to be competitive in the job market.
Why do one need to complete industrial training? The answer is to get an exposure to actual work which an engineer is supposed to do. For example, let's say a mechanical engineering student will go to an Automobiles company/Organization for training. The student will only learn few practical along with a lot of theory at college but in Org during the training period of around 3 to 6 months itself, the student will see alot and will learn actual Mechanical Engineers daily work. As a part of Engineering study, these kind of industrial trainings should be made mandatory so that a trailer to actual work will be introduced to Students during study courses. The same logic applies to all Branches.
Industrial training is usually skills-based—focused on how to do specifics aspects of a job. That includes welding as well as using Excel or developing the skills of product management.
